A story that began in 1991

Since 1991, Las Cabañas de Apaneca has welcomed visitors with its gardens, lodging, and cuisine. Over the years, art has become an integral part of the place’s identity through exhibitions, sculptures, and La Galería, creating a journey where history, nature, and creativity come together.

A story of hospitality, nature, and art that began in 1991.

Patricia Salaverría · Wood and Glass

The natural form of the wood is transformed into a vertical composition accompanied by pieces of colored glass. The contrast between the warm texture of the log and the transparency of the glass creates an organic and luminous work of art.

Patricia Salaverría is a Salvadoran-Mexican sculptor and the daughter of renowned sculptor Enrique Salaverría. Her training and close connection to her father’s studio contributed to the development of a career marked by the exploration of different materials and forms of expression.

Nature, the human figure, and her imaginary universe called Acasia inspire many of her creations. In her works, materials such as wood, iron, bronze, resin, and glass are transformed into female figures, imaginary beings, and compositions that preserve the texture and personality of each element.

Her relationship with Las Cabañas de Apaneca has developed over the years. In 2005, she presented the exhibition *Elementos de volumen* there, and today several of her sculptures are part of the gallery and the spaces that accompany visitors on their tour.

“Her works create a dialogue between matter, imagination, and nature.”
